An earthquake was reported again in the same region halfway between the two large cities, sending notice to residents.

The Los Angeles Times reported at 8:20 p.m. PT that a 7.1-magnitude quake was felt in Ridgecrest, California.

In that area of the epicenter, there have been more than 117 quakes that registered greater than 3.0, according to The Times.

On Thursday, a 6.4-magnitude earthquake shook buildings and rattled neighborhoods from Vegas to L.A.
