The Carolina Panthers quarterback appeared to be wearing a fez as he made his way to Bank of America Stadium ahead of Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Fans got a better look at the headwear after the Panthers moved to 9-4 on the season with a 31-24 win.
Newton explained that the look was inspired by rapper Andre 3000, who spoke about brimless hats in an interview with GQ Magazine.
