Now the 27-year-old from North Pole, Alaska, who had just two games — one start — under his belt with the St. Louis Blues before this season has a shiny new contract extension. 

On Monday, the team announced they re-signed Copley to a three-year, $3.3 million extension, with $1.1 million counting agains the cap per season. Copley was set to be an unrestricted free agent this summer and is currently making $650,000.

The move is an interesting one, as his new contract will expire after starter Braden Holtby’s does at the end of the 2019-2020 season.
