Caregiver Says Ernie Banks Assets Weren T Worth Much At Time Of Death

The two have already bumped heads over where to bury Banks, who died at age 83 in January. Elizabeth Banks won that round, having Banks’ remains buried near Wrigley Field. She also is contesting a will Banks signed in October that gave Rice the rights to his estate. 

The $16,000 estimate does not take into account the value of Banks’ name and likeness, Rice’s attorney, Linda Chatman, said.  Cook County Probate Judge James Riley has given Rice 30 days to come up with a full account of Banks’ estate at the time of his death.
