Boozer, who had a long, successful career beyond that, went on ESPN’s “Highly Questionable” with Dan LeBatard and Bomani Jones to explain himself. And man, it was great (via Deadspin).

The bullet points are that Boozer wanted to grow his hair out (as you do) and realized that he had some bald spots (as you do). His barber made a suggestion, Boozer took it and immediately realized things had gone bad. He said he washed his hair “seven or eight teams” ahead of the game, realized he was screwed and went to the shootaround.

His teammates got him bad, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce got him worse and ESPN got him worser. Away we go.

“It ain’t nothing that I haven’t already talked about, but I was trying to get my hairline back," Boozer said. “That was definitely a mistake.”

For reference, here’s how Bigen is supposed to work.

Boozer also briefly touches on his lawsuit against Prince, who rented Boozer’s house in L.A. back in 2006. Here’s what ex-Duke teammate Jay Williams had to say about it in 2011.

Also from Williams: Boozer’s initial plan was to go to the house and “beat (Prince’s) ass,” which is a delightful thought. The two eventually worked it out, they’re cool again, and Boozer would’t say much out of respect and/or the terms of the settlement: “Needless to say, he made the house his own while he was staying there.”

Also, Boozer talked about the team he accidentally punched referee Danny Crawford in the balls. What a great interview.
