Wait? Is that Carmelo Anthony?

Anthony received an All-NBA third-team vote despite playing 40 games before undergoing season-ending knee surgery. There isn’t exactly an argument to be made for him being an All-NBA performer when he was on the court either. His points per game and shooting percentages were down across the board from last season for a Knicks team that finished with the second-worst record in the league.

Former Celtics small forward and current broadcaster Cedric Maxwell gave the single vote to Anthony. It is possible Maxwell identified with Melo’s offensive style as a small forward known for scoring with his midrange game. But who knows? The Celtics and Knicks are supposed to be rivals, right?

Here are the other players who also received one vote (and probably should be offended): Tyson Chandler, Dallas, 1; Mike Conley, Memphis, 1; Brook Lopez, Brooklyn, 1; Kevin Love, Cleveland, 1; Kyle Lowry, Toronto, 1; Khris Middleton, Milwaukee, 1.
