Palmer suffered a concussion in Week 4 when his head hit the ground on a sack by the Rams’ Aaron Donald and Eugene Sims. Palmer, 36, did not travel to San Francisco for the team’s 33-21 victory over the 49ers Thursday.

Backup quarterback Drew Stanton completed only 11 of 28 passes for 124 yards in that game, although he had two touchdowns.
Palmer will have an extra day to prepare this week as the Cardinals host the New York Jets on Monday night.
