Over 3.5 million people have watched the adorable video posted by their owner Nav, a doctor from Chicago, who uses the handle @drnavster.

The video showcases a tortoiseshell cat prompting another cat to share the food by gently tapping its back.

More than 264,000 people have liked the video since it was posted on November 15.

While cats are popular pets, they can have a bad reputation, according to the pet sitting company Simply Yours Concierge’s blog.

Kyle Morse wrote: “Despite the thousands of years that domesticated cats have kept us company, people still haven’t learned how to read them the same way as dogs, so they suffer something of a bad reputation. The independence of cats often comes across as a lack of care for their human family for anything other than food.”

The breed of each feline isn’t specified, but Chartreux are said to be “polite” cats, according to Purina. The pet food company’s website describes the cat as “never too loud or demanding and happy to wait patiently for their owner to come home without tearing the place down, Chartreux cats are always on their best behavior.”

These cats are described as “friendly companions” that “will become instantly devoted to their human family.”

Over 800 people have commented on the viral clip, and the top comment alone has received more than 20,000 likes.

It said: “Bro you’re done it’s my turn now”

A cat owner’s comments receiving over 6,300 likes, said: “They’re so polite. My cats could never.”

Another person said: “IT WAS SO GENTLE.”

“That was the most polite tap lol,” wrote a TiKToker.

“My cat would step on her bro’s head to hold him from stealing her food,” said another.

Both cats received compliments as another person said: “Wow! The most polite cats ever. Both of them.”
