The fact Ms. Wright seems not to believe she had made a … mistake is, um, interesting. Breitbart, meanwhile, subsequently used a correct image with its article about the rally (UPDATE: And later issued a correction, per Media Matters).
This is really simple: It’s perfectly fine to support a candidate; just don’t unironically illustrate that support with an image that people will immediately recognize as not being related to the news. And, once you’ve been shown that the image isn’t related, maybe, ya know, get the hint, take the L and move on.
