An MRI at the Cleveland Clinic on Monday revealed the extent of the injury. Shumpert is expected to miss 12 to 14 weeks as he recovers, which puts him back on the court around January.

Shumpert re-signed with the Cavs in July on a four-year, $40 million extension after being acquired from the Knicks in January in a three-team deal that also included the Thunder. 

He recently announced he and his girlfriend, Teyana Taylor, are expecting their first child.
