Brown talked a lot about the issues of race, saying it was blatant when he was growing up. He told The Guardian people came to his games wearing a monkey suit, and he has seen fans throw bananas in the stands. He says racism is still an issue, but people conceal it a bit more now.

He later added in the interview, “I just think Trump’s character and some of his values makes him unfit to lead. For someone like him to be president, and in charge of our troops? It’s scary to be honest.”
The second-year player also had a problem with how Trump handled the LiAngelo Ball case. The middle son of LaVar Ball was arrested in China for stealing, and when he was released to the United States, Trump tweeted he wanted credit and thanks for his reported contribution.
Brown thought that was inappropriate.
