Smart’s announcement capped a flurry of NBA-related news regarding the virus. The 76ers announced that three members of the organization had tested positive, although the team did not specify whether any players were in that group. The Lakers then announced that two players tested have positive, although the names were not released.

There are now 10 known positive test results for NBA players, including Kevin Durant, who confirmed his status Wednesday to The Athletic.
The NBA suspended its season March 12 in response to a positive test by Jazz center Rudy Gobert. The league won’t resume play until at least mid-April. Commissioner Adam Silver told ESPN on Wednesday that he is optimistic games can be played later this year.
