Champions League prize pool increases
Beginning with the 2021-2022 edition, there will be a boost in the financial incentives for clubs, according to a report by The Associated Press.
Each Champions League club will receive $19.1 million just for making the group stage (up from the guaranteed $18.6 million for making the group stage in 2020-2021).
The 32 clubs that make up the group stage will share a total of $2.44 billion, up from $2.38 billion.
The return of fans in stadiums will be an added boost with each club retaining gate receipts (while also covering expenses for hosting each match outside the final).
