Mebane, 31, has played his entire nine-year career with the Seahawks. His best season came in 2012 when he recorded 56 tackles, three sacks and three passes deflected.
He has battled injuries since then and may be more of a two-down run-stuffer at this point in his career.
He will likely be the Chargers’ starting nose tackle to begin the season.
