The Chiefs want to sign their head coach to a contract extension this offseason, ESPN reported Sunday.

Reid, who signed a contract with the Chiefs in January 2013, is in the fourth year of his five-year deal.

Reid led Kansas City to 12-4 record and the franchise’s first AFC West title since 2010 this season. The 58-year-old is 43-21 during his tenure with the Chiefs, and holds an overall record of 173-114 in his nearly 18-year coaching career. That includes a 14-year stint as the Eagles’ head coach.
