The fish was discovered by a beach walker in West Marin, a rural region of Marin County. Images were shared to The West Marin Feed, a news feed for people living in the area edited by Christian Anthony. “The fish was still alive when the beach walker found it,” Anthony told Newsweek. “He put it back into the shorebreak to try and resuscitate it.” He said the fish, which was around four feet long, then disappeared and that it probably did not survive....

The Department of Justice unsealed charges against 34-year-old Apollon Nimo on Friday, charging the Parkway Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram salesman with wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud for allegedly orchestrating a seven-year-long scam that involved illegally selling employee discounts to non-qualified car buyers. Nimo was arrested on Friday and appeared in court before being released on bond. If convicted, he could face up to 20 years in prison....

Kavalan, the world-renowned distillery in Taiwan’s Yilan County, has opened the Kavalan Whisky Bar on Taipei’s Nanjing East Road in the busy Zhongshan District. While the bar is currently on a trial run, it will open to the public in August. The unique bar, where bartenders can pour whisky on tap directly from the barrel, recreates the inside of the distillery’s maturation warehouses. Kavalan master blender Ian Chang says the idea is to promote the high quality of Kavalan’s Solist range, sold in the US as Kavalan Cask Strength Series....
