Donovan Pham Nguyen, 34, of Riverside, was arrested on Monday and charged with one count of false impersonation of a federal officer or employee, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California said in a news release. Following a wave of confederate monuments getting removed, Orange County Democrats are now pushing to have John Wayne’s name, statue and other likenesses lifted from the county’s international airport in Santa Ana, according to a Los Angeles Times report on Saturday. In order to implement the mandatory reductions, California needs a waiver from the Environmental Protection Agency, essentially giving the state the okay to do something Washington refuses to.
