The rules of Renaissance forbid divulging any of the spiritual soul-searching and navel-gazing that goes on among the important and self-important, but suffice it to say that Dean turned a lot of heads....

The Florida man was arrested after refusing Capitol Police orders to leave the building during the riot and was taken into federal custody on January 14. Fog and flames are inhibiting the rescue mission for the missing passengers, officials said. Santa Barbara County Fire Department PIO Mike Eliason told CNN the fog may be the reason the 34 are still missing. “We’re still holding hope that someone may have swam to shore. The Southern Resident orca, known as L25—or Ocean Sun—was spotted in the Haro Strait, Washington, on July 29. There is no actual evidence that Ocean Sun is Lolita’s mother, but it’s widely assumed. Lolita, also known as Tokitae, is one of the most famous captive orcas in the world. She lives at Miami Seaquarium, where she has been since 1970. She is the last surviving orca out of 45 that were captured and delivered for display in aquariums between 1965 and 1973....

The children and one staff member were in the classroom when “a school family member’s vehicle accidentally struck” the building and drove into the classroom of the La Petite Academy in the Saugus neighborhood on Monday, according to a statement from the school. Six of the aircraft’s 212 passengers reported feeling nauseous, prompting flight 2074 to make a landing at about 7:30 p.m. because of a “passenger medical emergency and a fume event,” the airline told several local media outlets in a statement.
